The car recieved much more comprehnsive preparation for the 1983 race, but still somewhat less than the Group C regs allowed, and the times showed it slicing over 6 seconds from last years qualifying time with a 2:39.4.
It was a much more comptitive outing gaining a respectable 2nd in the Under 3Litre class and 20th outright, completing 141 Laps. Imagine if the car was developed to the extent Group C allowed.
